Anyone for VI tennis? Our own Mark Aylott – whose art will be on display at Solaris in October – took up the challenge after North East VI tennis legend and inspirational coach Wendy Glasper visited South Shore Lawn Tennis Club to host some trial sessions – joining forces with club coach Peter Hamadi. Such was demand the pair now hope to offer further lessons if funding can be sourced. The ball used is larger than in the mainstream sport and audible – so players can hear rather than see the ball coming. Mark proved a hit, in every sense. Look out Federer and co!
