Serving members of N-Vision were honoured at the Gazette 125 Local Heroes celebration at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Joy Killip, one of the founders of the charity’s Talking Newspaper (42 years ago) and a veteran volunteer newsreader with the service, received an award as did Low Vision Worker Brian Casey who was recognised for services to those with reduced vision. The event was organised by The Gazette, drawing on nominations past and present, to mark the 125th birthday of Blackpool Tower.
