N-Vision is an independent charity which serves the areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and provides services and support to anyone with reduced vision living in the area regardless of age or means.The charity was first formed in 1910 and continues to provide services over 100 years later.
Our services and activities include:
Care Services: The Princess Alexandra Residential Care Home and The Caregivers Service, providing dedicated care and support for visually impaired people and individuals with other needs in residential care and in their own homes.
Community Services: Low Vision Centre, Talking Newspaper and Outreach Support, offering practical support, advice and information, low vision assessments, training and social and activity groups to anyone with reduced vision, their families and carers.
Administration and Finance: providing essential infrastructure support to the organisation including finance and fundraising, human resources, governance support, health and safety, quality standards and legislative compliance.
We are currently seeking applications for the appointment of trustees who have the experience and enthusiasm to build on our history and success to date and further strengthen our Board of Trustees to help drive us forward into the future.
Strong networks within the sector are an advantage although applications from all sectors and areas of expertise are welcomed. The ability to think strategically, bring new ideas to the table and work with commitment are essential.
Our offices are based in Blackpool and the role of trustee is voluntary although expenses are paid.
