Please come along and join us on the 11th May at Barton Grange Garden Centre where we will be promoting eye health and raising awareness of sight loss and the challenges faced by those who are blind and partially sighted.
You will have the opportunity to meet our staff and volunteers to learn about sight loss and explore the services and products available to promote independence for blind and partially sighted people.
Learn how to look after the health of your eyes; the way the eyes can be affected by different eye conditions and the support available to assist people with reduced vision to remain independent.
Talking clocks, magnifiers, electronic reading machines, tablets and smartphones fitted with software that magnifies and talks will all be available to try. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the Talking Newspapers that are available throughout the area.
This is a free event and will take place at Barton Grange Garden Centre, Garstang Rd, Brock, PR3 0BT between 11am and 3pm on Thursday 11th May 2017
