Community Engagement Officer – Full Time
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a Community Engagement Officer to help us deliver meaningful activities and support for people living with sight loss.
Location: N-Vision & community settings
Pay: £13.95 per hour
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, including occasional evenings & weekends)
As our Community Engagement Officer, you’ll play a vital role in planning, organising, and delivering a wide range of activities for visually impaired individuals of all ages and abilities. From in-house sessions to community-based events, your work will help promote confidence, independence, and inclusion.
- Plan and deliver a varied programme of engaging activities
- Organise sessions both at N-Vision and out in the community
- Support new clients through referrals from partner organisations
- Deliver tailored activities to meet diverse needs
- Work alongside clients to co-design meaningful experiences
- Coordinate volunteers, resources, and venues
- Ensure all activities are safe, well-planned, and fully compliant
- Record outcomes and contribute to reports and service development
- Build strong partnerships with local organisations and stakeholders

Temporary Assistant Care Home Manager (six month contract)
Join our friendly, empathetic and skilled management team at the Princess Alexandra Home for independent living, to cover long term sickness of a colleague.
You will be Duty Manager (in the absence of the Care Services Manager and Care Manager) and will take responsibility for specific functions in the day to day running of the Home. You will need leadership and delegation skills, attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining the high standards and positive culture our Home is known for.
- Weekend availability is vital.
- Part-time, Temporary
- Contract length: 6 months
- Pay: £14.18 per hour
- Expected hours: 30 per week
Benefits: Company pension and on-site parking
Temporary Payroll and Finance Officer
(15 hours pw) at £13.50 per hour

Care Assistant
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Working pattern: Flexible shifts, including some weekends

N-Vision is looking for a caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at the Princess Alexandra Home.
This is an opportunity to play an important role in helping our residents live safely, confidently and as independently as possible.
The role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping them with their daily routines while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting residents with dressing, undressing and personal care where required.
- Assisting with eating, drinking, mobility and the care of personal belongings.
- Providing one-to-one support, including shopping where required.
- Spending time talking with residents, checking on their wellbeing and encouraging participation in activities.
- Promoting residents’ independence and helping them find ways to cope with challenges.
- Serving meals and drinks and making residents’ beds.
- Assisting with laundry and ironing as required.
- Attending staff meetings and training courses.
- Keeping residents’ case files and care plans up to date.
- Administering medication as instructed by the Duty Manager.
- Planning and delivering in-house activities and entertainment.
- Administering eye drops and applying creams as directed.
- Helping to ensure residents’ bedrooms and living areas remain safe environments.
- Recording and reporting any changes in residents’ physical, mental or emotional wellbeing.
- Reporting incidents, accidents and significant concerns to the Duty Manager.
- Maintaining positive and harmonious relationships with residents, colleagues and visitors.
- Carrying out other appropriate duties, responsibilities and training as required.

Experience in a care setting is desirable, but above all, we are looking for someone who has the right attitude and genuinely wants to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents.
