As always, residents of our Princess Alexandra Home for independent living have been keeping busy, not least as there is the option to nip next door to join in the free activities provided at our Low Vision Centre.
Some residents tried their hand at the art of decoupage in the free monthly arts and crafts club for local people with sight loss. The dancing and yoga session at the Low Vision Centre are always popular too.
Home residents had one of their own favourite activities recently, when carer Claire brought in her collection of spiders! The braver folk just love getting up close and personal with these friendly creatures.
For residents who love larger beasties, a therapy dog makes regular visits.
Thank you to everyone who donated or ‘shopped’ to support the Jumble Sale for the residents’ fund. It raised almost £400 for more outings, treats and hobby-support.
